Legends of Slots
Legends of Slots is one of those pick-up-anywhere games that doesn't ask much of you but still manages to feel satisfying. You tap to spin a grid of themed reels, and the real hook is the collection system — line up matching symbol sets and you unlock short illustrated vignettes tied to different mythological 'legends'. It's less about the spin itself and more about filling out your album of discoveries.
The controls are as simple as it gets: one big tap to spin, a swipe to switch between themed worlds, and a tidy menu for your collection. What surprised me was how much care went into the art. Each legend has its own palette and little animated flourishes, and the sound design has a soft, chimey quality that's genuinely pleasant on headphones during a commute.
After a week of short sessions I'd unlocked most of the first two worlds and found myself opening it just to see the next vignette. It won't eat your whole evening, and I think that's the point. It's a calm, low-pressure collector with surprisingly nice production values for its size.
